The IKV Fury is officially online for mass communications.

The Fury’s website, http://home.fastrans.net/~bdragon/ikvfury, contains an online archive of the ship’s newsletter (beginning with the July 1999 issue), a calendar of scheduled events, and a few Klingon related links. The newsletter is available for down load in .ZIP format. For those who need a ZIP program, there is a link to WinZip on the page. Within the .ZIP file, there are WordPerfect 7 and Word 97 versions of the newsletter. If anyone needs a different format, contact me and do my best to accommodate you.

The Fury also has an email group. The address for the group is ikvfury@onelist.com. This is a crew only list, so you must either be invited, or subscribe for approval. We will be sending invitations to all the current e-mail lists.

Onelist works through regular email. As you send email to the Onelist account, it is automatically routed to everyone in the group list.

I realize that this does little good for people who don’t have email, however there are only one or two people who don’t have access to email.

This isn’t going to fully replace face-to-face meetings, however, this allows the group to have discussions that might otherwise take weeks to get around to.

If you have any further questions, email ikvfury@pretention.org or bdragon@i1.net.

Halloween Bowling Fund-raiser

On Saturday October 30, the squadron will be having a bowling party to raise money for StoVoCon. Come dressed as your favorite, non-Star Trek, character. Five dollars to enter, ten to bowl.

The party will be at Magnan Lanes on Kingshighway, behind the Army Reserve Center. It is a pot luck, so bring something to share. There will also be door prizes.

Jail-N-Bail For StoVoCon

There will be a Jail-N-Bail at Archon, to raise money for StoVoCon. I will pass information along as I get it.

If you are not currently helping at Archon, and would like to do something, please let me know ASAP so I can have you added to the list.

A Note From The Commander

I am still waiting to hear from several people to update their contact information. Please get this to me, even if it hasn’t changed. An annual update is going to be standard procedure.

If you do not communicate with me, in some form, I will have to assume that you are no longer interested in being a part of our organization
