Therefore, I am going to try an experiment. To my knowledge, we are the only ship in the fleet attempting this style of operation. From this point on, I am not going to hold any physical meetings. I will conduct meetings via this newsletter.
My plan is as follows: Current topics of discussion are to be located at the front of the issue. New topics are located after that. Newsletters will be available online, for download, in both WordPerfect 7 and Word 97 formats. I am willing to put up Word 95 format if someone specifically needs it. I expect a reply from all crewmembers via snail mail, e-mail, carrier pigeon, etc.
I will compile all the replies and publish the contents in the next issue. A topic will be considered settled when the newsletter says it is settled.
For those who have been out of contact because of conflicts, work or otherwise, here is your chance to have you say. I want everyone involved, but we need to be able to communicate to do that. I realize that this isn’t a perfect solution, but it’s the best one I can come up with. If anyone has other ideas about how to handle meetings, please do let me them. I’ll put them here for everyone to look at and comment on. Those who have worked with me in the past know I give full credit to people who earn it. That’s a good step toward promotion.
Greetings!
Effective immediately, I resign as an Admiral of KAG and from the Klingon Assault Group. I do this due to individuals continuing to further drive a wedge between the membership, due to personal agendas and biases. I cannot stand with a leadership that does not honor their words. Attempts to stop this pettiness on my part have failed.
Also effective immediately, any ties between House Trekkan and House Septaric pertaining to KAG have been severed. Our alliance will continue outside the boundaries of KAG.
With my resignation, I now take the title of Da'Har Master which has been depicted in the Star Trek series as a Klingon who has accomplished much for the Empire and has earned a status of respect. I feel that I have accomplished that with my 15 years of Klingon fandom experience, 10 that were involved in helping establish KAG.
House Trekkan will continue in Klingon fandom and members of House Trekkan are free to continue their roles in KAG, as they deem fit. All KAG pages will be removed from the House Trekkan site within the week. I will continue work with HomeWorld and with all of Klingon fandom. Anyone wanting to participate or know more about HomeWorld feel free to contact me or any other member of the grand council!
I am not cutting off my friendships that I have developed in KAG but putting an end to an association with an organization that continues to bicker and strive to rip apart the fabric of the membership. Anyone who still wishes to maintain contact with me will find no change in my attitude to him or her when it comes to the membership. They are the unwitting pawns in the stupid game of organizational politics. I apologize to the membership that I did not stopped this strife.
To those involved in this "Romulan Tactic," I wish you luck in trying to portray leaders who have no honor to words they spoke!
I realize that some people may take offense at this, however I know Kragtowl well, and I realize that he has been very frustrated with the fleet. I ask that no one take this letter personally.
At present, I am unaware who is in command but I will obtain and relay such information, as best I can. In the mean time, we will proceed as follows:
Anyone who disagrees with me on this, please feel free to contact me and we will discuss your concerns.

On behalf of Archon I am contacting you to learn if any members of the St. Louis area Klingon Assault Group who are attending the convention this year are interested in having a club table at the con. If so, I need to know if a full or half table is needed. Also, I would appreciate it if you would let me know if any attending club members are interested in providing some programming (e.g. a panel) at the con. Please furnish me with the name(s), topic(s), and preferred and alternate day/time(s) for the program.
Lastly, I would like to know if the club would like to hold a meeting at the convention. Again, if so, let me know a preferred and alternate day/time for the meeting. This information will be provided to the Archon Programming Chair.
If the response to any of the requested information is negative, I would like to know that as well.
I realize you may have already been contacted by Archon staffers, or you may have contacted them concerning these same matters. However, I would rather err on the side of redundancy than let someone fall through the proverbial crack.
Please relay you initial reply to me. After I talk to the other ship commanders, we will decide who the official contact person is going to be.
Archon 23 is being held Oct. 1-3 at the Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville Il. You can find more information at their web site: http://stlf.org/archon/23.
With the upcoming holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, X-mas/Chanukah) we could get some good events going, though we don’t really need a holiday to plan an event.
I want everyone on the Fury to come up with one idea for an event by August 1. I will put the ideas in the next newsletter and we’ll see if we can get some support.
